Open Audition

KAFFNY’s first Open Audition will be held Saturday and Sunday, August 20th and August 21st at Bennett Media Studios at 723 Washington Street.

All aspiring Korean/Korean American actors of all ages, levels of experience, language ability are encouraged to participate and have a chance at being cast in upcoming NY film and TV productions. All aspiring directors/producers of all levels of experience are encouraged to apply to view the Open Audition to cast their projects.

Schedule:
Saturday, August 20th
10:00am-2:00pm KAFFNY Mentoring Workshop (Suggested donation: $10)
4:30pm-6:00pm Panel Talk with casting directors and directors (free)

Sunday, August 21st
9:00am-7:00pm Audition in front of various directors and casting directors  (free)
Headshot booth
7:30pm-9:00pm Networking mixer with casting directors and directors (free)

To audition, Actors will register online. To view the audition, Directors will apply online, and preference will be given to directors shooting a new film soon after the audition. All actors will be able to audition, but only some directors will be selected to view the audition. (All actors and directors will be able to attend the other scheduled activities.)

KAFFNY Online Database

An online database will be created on KAFFNY’s website where the profiles of participating actors/actresses will be uploaded with videos of their audition. Directors/ casting directors who are interested in casting them will have an access to the database.
